Jack Dempsey vs Luis Angel Firpo
Won of the most spectacular and action packed fights of all time which resulted in eleven knockdowns in just two rounds.
Firpo was a very strong powerful boxer who had knocked out many top fighters and was dubbed as the Wild Bull of the Pampas due to his exiting aggresive style.
Jack was knocked down onto his knees early but was up instantly and proceeded to beat Firpo to the canvas seven timesin the first round but Firpo rallied to knock Dempsey clean through the ropes in one of the most dramatic moments in Dempsey's career.
Jack came back to knockout firpo in the second round.
The fact that Dempsey had help getting back into the ring by the pressmen led some to claim that Firpo had won the fight but in reality Dempsey was the far better boxer and it was essentially a one sided beating except for the dramatic attack from Firpo late in the first round.
Watch out for Dempsey's left hooks to the body. The speed and power of these punches are tremendous and the punches are tight and only have to travel a few inches yet have a devastating effect.
